Get to know the unique Swedish culture in a famous Swedish university environment in just one unforgettable week!
About the week
The student union LundaEkonomerna at the School of Economics and Management at Lund University organizes a yearly international week to foster the university’s relationship with other partner universities all over the world. Every year Lund University invites around 20 carefully selected students from foreign universities to visit Lund. The students will get the opportunity to experience the life of a student at one of Sweden’s top universities for one week. This week will also give the students a taste of the employment prospects available in our greatly entrepreneurial region. Hence it is a great chance for both students and companies to start a long-term relationship.
The Swedish students arrange accommodation and every international student will be staying in the apartment/dorm of a Swedish student. This will be an unforgettable week with activity filled days and crazy nights!
During this week both international and Swedish students will participate in a number of activities. There will be visits to characteristic Swedish companies and organizations to give an insight into local trade and industry. There will also be sightseeing and social events to get to know the city itself and the Swedish culture. Dinners and parties will be arranged, giving the opportunity to mingle with other students and make the well-known legend of Lund’s student life a reality.
During previous weeks students got the chance to visit companies like IKEA, Ernst & Young, Thule Group and Absolut Vodka. They have also gotten to experience both seal and moose safaris and visited several cities in Skåne, the most southern part of Sweden. Usually the group also takes the train over the bridge to Denmark during one day to visit Carlsberg and Christiania among other things.
When it comes to the nightlife, Lund is famous for it’s student parties, which are probably the best in Sweden.
We promise new friends, interesting company visits, lots of Swedish drinking songs and a great experience!
