About the week

Indonesia International Week (IIW) is one of the annual events held by Indonesian Students Association for International Studies (ISAFIS). They annually invite 20 participants from various countries to learn about Indonesia holistically, including society, politics, economics, nature, culture, and much more. Indonesia IW will definitely give you an opportunity to expand your network and enhance the knowledge while having an unforgettable summertime in The Equator, Indonesia.

Highlights Included

Participants will explore the beauty of Indonesia in many aspects. You will explore two magical cities, Jakarta and Jogja. Jakarta will enthrall you with its nightlife and its plethora of culture mingling together. Jogja will endear you with its culture and temples permeated with rich history. There is always something for everybody, as long as you know where to look.

Culinary wonders

As the theme implies, we are going all out on a culinary journey. Expect everyday as a surprise for your palate – a good one obviously! In Jakarta, the flavor capital of Indonesia, all the ethnic dishes from Indonesia come together to introduce you to Indonesia. In Jogja, its rich Javanese infused cuisine will make you beg for more.

Temples and so much more

Borobudur temple is one of the most iconic landscapes in Indonesia. It is also a priceless artifact that has withstood hundreds of years of history. IW Indonesia 2019 then invites you to experience this wholesome place, to stand where countless others have stood in history. Not only Borobudur, we are going to enjoy a lot of Indonesia’s landscape, such as Prembanan temple and the palace of Jogjakarta.
